Good news everyone!

I'm on the last series in my box set of Futurama!

Which obviously, isn't good news. Because then there will be no more futurama to watch.

Got things to do this weekend. Have to get the kids to pick new presents for their uncle to buy them. They did ask for "Bindeez" but the black market price of them is huge! Have to see if there are any films they want instead.

Got some more interviews next week. Anybody would think that working for a small company in an industrial estate next to a slaughter house isn't desirable. Mad fools!

Bought some Christmas presents for the team, going to give them out next week. Rather nice (according to my Mum) bottle of wine (Mionetto 'Sergio' Prosecco) from the good wine shop.

I've changed my interview procedure, after the last two people I was going to offer jobs took other jobs in the gap between the first and second interviews. I'm now going to give a technical test before the talkie bit, and then decide on the day. Better all round I think.

A couple of companies waited over two weeks before calling me in for the second one. "What? You've got a job? And been there 2 weeks already? So you won't be coming in then?"

A small company in an industrial estate next to a slaughter house? Sounds like a front for some Agency Even More Secret Than MI5.

I had a company wait over four months to offer me a job after the interview.

Good thing I wasn't unemployed during that job search.

the NSA took 6 months just to say "you've cleared the first hurdle!". I think they only hire guys straight of college, but I am not sure if this is their intention.

Theres the new Futurama Movie you could check out. Not terrific, it feels more like watching a couple of episodes back to back, but true to the series at least.

Core2Duo/ga-p35/4G, 2x500G RAID-1 boot, 3x (possibly 6x) 500G RAID-5 data, dual GB network cards to a gig-switch and a "16MB" connection out of which they claim I'm getting no less than 11.7MB down and at least 2.2MB up. What I'm sayin' is I can help a brutha out IYKWIM.

You haven't really even started watching Futurama until you've gone through them at least 5 times.

That is pretty much my favouritest shop in the world. I shall be purchasing some Christmas drinks from there next week, I imagine.

They also sell (or certainly did last year) fresh foie gras which is finger-lickingly cruel. But damn it's nice.

They also do wine tastings (food comes from Thyme Café) which are rather good fun. Not been for a couple of years, but they did a Burgundy&Bordeaux evening, which had a range of wines from about £15 up to a couple of hundred. I forget how much it cost to get in (£20 maybe?) but it was certainly worth it to get to try a range of wines that you'd normally never get near due to price.
