Ok, I've turned the archive back on.

I won't be archiving any more stories yet, but you should be able to get access to stories that are in the archive.

If you can't please either post the url you think you should be able to get to here, or PM me (if for some reason you don't want to broadcast it)

I'll be keeping an eye on performance, which seems to go down when the archive is switched on.

Update [2007-12-8 12:32:7 by hulver]:
Looks like the search is broken for archived stories. I'm looking into it.

Update [2007-12-8 16:56:24 by hulver]:
Search is fixed.

But thanks anyway, I had to go to kuro5hin for some of my old stories, and I'm feeling soiled by the experience

Comments from the early-to-mid 2004 era come up on the search page, but stories (even the stories the comments are attached to) do not. The stories are there, if you know the url. Example?

this story is not in the story/author search, but the comments show up in the comment search, and so I was able to find it.

I've been wanting to re-read this particular story for a while now, so thanks.

It shows up on this page. http://ana.hulver.com/scoop/main/14

That's with 20 stories per page.

I'll have a look at story search.
